TURISTIC LARGE HOUSE POSADA “LAS BROMELIAS”
HISTORY
It was built
at the beginning of the 20th century
Until 1934
belonged to Manuel Antonio
Galindo Rada, who manged the store of
the administrative office of the estate “ El Chocho”, controlling the
commercial movement through a customs.
Mr. Galindo
belonged to a family from the 18th
Century of the municipality of “Guaduas”, he was descendant of the lieutenant
Mariano of the Raga, important person of the independence. Mr. Manuel helped Silvania’s founder Ismael. Silva and
integrate the first Counsel of the Municipality in l949.
In l979
Hector Galindo who did his medicine studies
in Monphelier (France), inherits
the large house, where established his consult office, helping always
needed people until l990 when he dyed.
In l997
the large house was bought by a
family from Italy, who restored it, used as their house and offered part of the house for tourists
services during 7 years. In this house
was born the Rural Association of
“ Sumapaz “
Today it is
the Tourist rural house “LAS BROMELIAS”,
name given in homage to the great variety of ornamental plants of this species
that identify the region, this is a
place of harmony and interaction with
the nature.
LOCATION:
Silvania- Cundinamarca. It takes One
hour From the city of Bogotà by the
“Panamericana” High Way going to the
south of Colombia.
